An Old Pontiac Behind a College Park Fence

The Alameda

I found this beautiful old car hidden behind the fence at an abandoned gas station in the College Park area of San Jose. I believe the car is a 1930's era, Pontiac Sedan?

I can imagine the car driving up the Alameda into downtown San Jose during its heyday as the center of culture and shopping district for the city.

College Park was created in 1871, for the University of the Pacific campus. In 1923, the school moved to Stockton, California.

Bellarmine College Preparatory took over a portion of the campus and the rest of the area was subdivided into a residential neighborhood.
