Popular places to visit around the turn of the twentieth century included;
The San Jose Post Office tower collapsed in the 1906 earthquake; the building is now the San Jose Museum of Art.
San Jose Electric Light Tower – Removed in 1915 after being badly damaged in a storm
City Hall Downtown was demolished in 1954, now the Plaza de César Chávez.
Courthouse & St James Hotel – Old San Jose Post Office replaced the St James Hotel in 1933
Garden of Norte Dame was replaced by DeAnza Hotel in 1931; a portion of the property is now the Axis Condos.
Vendome & Grounds demolished in 1966 for housing sub-division
Still in use today
St James Park, Alum Rock Park, Lick Observatory, St James Park, The St Claire Club, and Carnegie Library
Foothills Near San Jose, and Ostrich Farm?
