The Winchester Mystery House,  San Jose, California,

The home was built by Sarah Winchester, widow of William Winchester, who believed the spirits of those killed by Winchester rifles were haunting her. She constructed a sprawling mansion with over 160 rooms, 40 staircases, 10,000 windows, and numerous secret passageways to confuse the spirits. The house was opened to the public as a tourist attraction after her death in 1922. Visitors can explore the house’s mystery and intrigue for themselves.
