Burning Man 2016 – Carnival of MirrorsĀ

The Carnival of Mirrors theme at Burning Man is a fascinating exploration of the ways in which our identities and perceptions of reality are shaped by the world around us. The theme asks three essential questions: within our media-saturated world, who is the trickster, who is being tricked, and how can we discover who we really are?

Burning Man is known for its elaborate art installations, which range from large-scale sculptures to interactive experiences. The event also features music performances, workshops, and other creative activities. At the end of the event, a large wooden structure called the Burning Man is set on fire, symbolizing the temporary nature of the community and the art created during the event.

Burning Man is more than just an event; it is a social and cultural phenomenon that has attracted a devoted following over the years. The event has also inspired similar gatherings around the world, where people come together to celebrate art, community, and self-expression in their own unique ways.

Burning Man 2015 – Carnival of Mirrors

I returned to The Artery (Burning Man Art Department) for my second year volunteering as a Art Bike Tour guide. It was a very challenging year giving art tours during whiteouts, but I loved every minute of it. Thank you to all the people that came out for tours to show your appreciation of the art.

To all the amazing artist that make Black Rock City the most visually stunning place in the world, your hard work and dedication to your art astound me.
